Thuraya in Washington to attract Military and Media Customers

A high-level Thuraya delegation, led by Chief Technology Officer Ali Al Mazrooei, has set off for Washington to meet with potential military and media customers at the world's largest satellite telecom exhibition. Thuraya is establishing strong visibility in "Satellite 2010" which brings thousands of military, media, government and NGO officials.

An expanding portfolio of satellite telecom solutions including broadband, maritime, handheld, tracking, video-streaming and secure communications is being showcased at the 5-day event starting this week.

Commenting on Thuraya's participation at this key gathering, Al Mazrooei said, "The US is a significantly large customer of satellite telecom in our 140-country coverage area and elsewhere. And we have top-quality, competitive voice and data products that meet US and international customers' needs. Hence, we naturally go to this Washington event to further develop our international business." Al Mazrooei will also be sharing Thuraya's perspective on "New Solutions and New Opportunities at the MSS CEO Session" at the conference which is attended by a large number of specialists.

"We are pleased to be taking part in Satellite 2010 where we can share our expertise with industry partners, and directly talk to our vertical market customers," he added.

At this year's show, Thuraya is specifically demonstrating the world's smallest satellite broadband solution, Thuraya IP as well as a ‘Comms on the Move' antenna designed for broadband services on the go. Additionally, Thuraya will be exhibiting its specialised multi-communication solution Thuraya Marine and the Company's range of satellite handhelds which include the world's toughest satellite phone, Thuraya XT.
